Les' Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. (or short Les' Copaque) is a CGI animation and publishing company based in Shah Alam, Selangor. Les' Copaque not only works in the field of animation, but also becomes a full-fledged company that also involves the production of ideas, sound recordings and post-production with their animation work. This studio involves a lot of workforce of young talents.

History

Les' Copaque was established in December 2005 by the issuers of Haji Burhanuddin Md Radzi and Hajah Ainon Ariff. They together with three MMUgraduates (Mohd Nizam Abdul RazakMohd Safwan Abdul Karim, and Usamah Zaid Yasin) have started the company. Usamah Zaid Yasin is one of those who helped set up this company and now holds a Creative Director at Les' Copaque Production. They named their studio in conjunction with the Malay term "Last chance" and changed the spelling into a French language.

Their first animated film project, Mustahak Mission, which won four awards in 2005: Best Works ("Best of the 10th MVA 2005") and Short Animated Film Gold Medal (Open) at the 10th Malaysia Video Award (MVA); Tertiary Student Projects(Creative Multimedia) at MSC-APICTA 2005; and Best of Multimedia University Collection 2005 at Pixels Creative Pixels, Art Gallery of Negarat attracted publishers to set up an animation company with them.

The Les' Copaque service was once used to make public service orders as well as a Japanese GT ad in 2006. The company also stepped into short animated animation designs Geng: The Adventure Begins has embraced the overall title, best animated film and best animation director at the Short Film Awards 2006; [1]

In 2007, Les' Copaque introduced the famous animated character in Malaysia, Upin & Ipin in conjunction with Ramadan and Aidilfitri, while working on Geng: The Adventure Begins that featured the twins.The Geng film finally came out on February 12, 2009 [1] , and managed to collect the cinema collection of around RM 6.3 million [2] , making it among Malaysian films that earned the highest collection in history.
