Terawih (Prayers) is the 4th episode of season 1 in Upin & Ipin. This episode witnessed the debut of Tok Dalang.
Summary[]
Upin, Ipin, Opah and Kak Ros went to the mosque for terawih prayers are also reached after a few days of fasting. Prayer prayers in conjunction with this Ramadhan seems to be an opportunity for children to play with their friends instead of worship, not to mention Upin, Ipin and their friends. After sharing the fasting experience, they even played. Eventually the fun ended after Kak Ros instructed them to participate in the prayer.
Plot[]
Upin and Ipin have been preparing to go to surau with Opah to experience their first melody, but they had to wait for Kak Ros to adorn inside of the house. Meanwhile, when being asked, Opah explained that terawih is a solat prayer which is held only during the month of Ramadhan, and who is diligent to receive a lot of rewards. After Kak Ros came out, she ordered her younger siblings to stay awake when in the mosque.
At the mosque, Upin and Ipin met Ehsan and his cousin, Fizi. Ehsan showed his father's rewards for fasting on the others, Fizi also claimed to be a half-day fast. Upin was able to tell Opah's advice, that "if it is not full fasting, it is impossible to enter paradise.". However, the four of them were chatting and playing lat band lat until Upin and Ipin were beaten by Kak Ros before they started.
In the mosque, Upin and Ipin followed the terawih prayers, but Ipin did not focus entirely. He wanted to ask something, but was told to stay silent by his brother. After the prayer ended, they both went out and collided with Tok Dalang, the village leader of Kampung Durian Runtuh. They asked Tok Dalang why he did not get involved, then he answered that terawih is a prayer of circumcision only and it is not obligatory to do. Upin and Ipin mocked him for sin. Tok Dalang was unhappy with their behavior and told them to go somewhere else.
So Upin and Ipin rushed into the outside to meet Ehsan and Fizi who were tired of playing hide-and-seek. Upin recommend that they should play the slippers tossing of the mosque attendants. The four of them were playing until all of the slippers were all piled up in front of the msque, and finally they were beaten by "Angry Kak Ros".
